My late father loved Gravenstein apples. He tried to grow an apple tree on his property. I remember his excitement the first year that it bore fruit, followed by his disappointment when the neighbourhood deer ate almost every one of them! Looks like the tree wanted to honour his passing this year.

When you’ve used the same product for more than 35 yrs (maybe longer) it’s understandable that one would get a little antsy when stores stop stocking it … last can on the left I bought at local pharmacy for $6.99 about 4 months ago. Reluctant purchase on right? 2 for $38.99! Tariffs? Availability?

Enjoying keynote from Anouck Wipprecht at #ITCAMP2025 … when she showed us the Drinkbot dress (which actually made cocktails) though, I was pondered how far we’ve come in portable mixology!

When my mom passed, nearly four years ago, I shared her passing on what was still Twitter. Today I mark the passing of my Dad on BlueSky … a long time educator in our area with a legacy & sphere of influence I can only hope to scratch the surface of! He knew the value of hard work as youngest of 10!
