Bokumu is a recently contacted Hongana Manyawa man from the Halmahera rainforest of Indonesia. He was first contacted in 2009 when Weda Bay Nickel began exploring his territory.
Nickel mining for electric car batteries is destroying the Hongana Manyawa's rainforest.

Alex Tinyú, a Nukak man, was a child when his territory in Colombia was invaded by missionaries, coca growers and others in the 80s. After contact, over half his people died from disease & violence.
