I feel like this is the dumbest concept in the history of the world, that a currency that only works with a giant infrastructure of data centers running on complex software and enormous quantities of fossil fuels is going to somehow be useful in case of economic collapse.

My daughter Rachel can write a good report for way less than the cost of production of a "Deep Research" report that cites mainly SEO trash and contains bizarre errors you won't catch without hours of fact-checking. By the time VC runs out and prices rise, there will be few Rachels with the skills.

It would be good to change our bird flu policies and be ready to deploy human vaccines quickly, but a simple solution to the price of eggs is just don't eat them.
