As he says, the PM certainly seems to have lost the electorate

This by Patrick Smith is the loveliest thing I've read all week. Gleeson is full of such wisdom, and the best writers know how to sit and listen and let their subject elaborate, digress, inspire. A compelling piece www.independent.co.uk/arts-enterta...

Not too impressed with autistic Barbie tbh. I know they tried but it seems to be based on some fundamental misconceptions. Sensory issues are real, but loose clothing? Never come across that before. They could give her one set of clothes that she wears all the time I guess, or maybe that's just me

I do wish people would get the hang of the difference between neurodivergent and neurodiverse. Frustrating to read well-meaning coverage that gets them muddled up.

I rate Janan but I tend to think the voters haven't given most recent PMS much of a chance. Except Boris because they liked him because he was funny. How on earth is Starmer meant to have turned around 14yrs of tory ethos in a year? He's made a start

Is it wrong that I had to stop watching Knives Out because D Craig accent is so appalling? Literally couldn't listen to it a moment longer. You can't suspend your disbelief when something like that cuts right through the rope

This is true and I was the only one on set excited about it (and playing the song on my phone to blank stares)
Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

Susannah York refused to give me her autograph at a performance of a play she wrote when I was about nine. I was trying to explain that we had the same name. She wasn't interested. It was a terrible play though
Please quote this with the time you didn’t interact with someone famous - eg one time I was in Cardiff the same weekend as Willem Dafoe (but I didn’t see him or even know he was there until he appeared on the telly later)
Please quote this with your major interactions with massive celebrities. eg “I was married to the pope for fifteen years”
December 30, 2025 at 9:34 AM
I think I do it because

1. I'm still processing every interaction
2. I don't like being on my own, and I'm the only person around to reassure myself (hypervigilance)
3. It makes it less likely I'll wake up for the day at 3am when it's still night
The autistic tendency to stay up late because:

- nighttime is when the world finally slows down (quieter, fewer demands, less sensory input)
- you’ve been randomly hyperfocusing
- “do not perceive me”
- SPECIAL INTERESTS! ❤️
- transitioning to bedtime can be hard
- your circadian rhythm is chaos 🫠

Very funny as ever. But I will say one thing: I think most people underestimate Starmer. And even when he does something brilliant, with no fuss, each time they still say "Oh but *apart* from that.. ". I think people take him for granted.
