Ostensibly a professional account, but people prefer to look at my guinea pigs than read my thoughts on WordPress and the web. Quite right, too. Web developer, former journalist, avid reader, history buff, thespian, mother of rodents.
Happy Birthday, Macy!

You got it, Pigdad. The hoom and all the peegs are sending good vibes your way.

Mmmm. One of their favorites. ❤️

Reign’s eating habits are so disciplined. She ate some of everything but didn’t empty the plate the way mine did.

She’ll be *so* excited to see you again. And she’ll have so much to tell you.

Spike, having been neutered, prefers a good #snac to the romantic attentions of either lady.

Possibly why Meadow is keeping a close eye on her? 😂

Alas, tests have already shown that AI has learned self-preservation.

One of the young trick or treaters was fascinated with the spiders. I told her she could pet one.

🤣 I was sincerely hoping nobody on the street had issues with spiders, except maybe the woman across the street who thinks she’s the street’s HOA president.

I was tempted to add the motion-activated spiders that drop from a single strand of web.

After due consideration I passed because the only place to hang it was the light fixture over the mailbox. Didn’t want to give an unsuspecting postal worker a heart attack.

Her hay jacuzzi is up against the wall between the cottage and The Lair. When I add hay I let a little spill between the bars. My crew will come over to nibble the overflow, which gives them an opportunity to socialize.

Though Reign never seemed scared or anxious about the change of scene, she kept to herself a lot, snuggling into the pocket of the cage liner.

For the past couple of days she’s spent a lot more time in the open and been more interested in her neighbors as well as my own activities.

She says thank you!

She’s so much more disciplined than my crew. She nibbled a few pieces but probably won’t dig in until late afternoon.

Mine have cleared 2/3 of their platter and will come back for more after a short break. I’ve reserved the apple and herbs for dessert.
