Just a ordinary bloke who likes sport (especially AFC Wimbledon) keeping active, and thinking about retirement. Both a Londoner and Irishman, I see no problem with being both.

Well worth a read if just for the Il Presidente interview.
@wdownunder.bsky.social have a very special tell-all interview with club icon Dickie Guy (five pages!!) in the latest issue along with @justwiggo.bsky.social's personal tale of his

You know those ancient festivals and traditions that no one quite knows why or where they started? Well that!

Mind you if you’ve only been to Ireland’s capital city, you may find the Kerry accents difficult to follow. I suspect the odd snifter may have been consumed also.

Well I wasn’t expecting that. An England Ashes win down under. Fair play to Stokes and team, but that pitch. As the Aussies would say, “Struth mate!”

Fellow Blueskyers. Any ideas how to break into this bottle of whisky? This plastic contraption at the top is harder to get off than getting into Fort Knox.

If there really were 400+ Stevenage fans at that game today, they must have been left outside the ground. Pitiful away attendance from a team near the top of the table.
December 26, 2025 at 6:47 PM
For a 0-0 game that was an intriguing contest. Both teams had spells where they put the other under pressure. Either Stevenage had an off day, or maybe we had a good one. After today only two points separates 9th from 19th place 🤔

After yesterday’s feat of gluttony and diplomacy in the face idiotic rhetoric from some family members, what better way to exercise the demons than a trip to Plough Lane for stoic football banter among friends. Part of me would prefer going back to bed, but a man’s got to do what a man’s got to do ⚽️

Thank Christ that’s over for another year. Hosting 14 people including my sexist, lazy, racist brother-in-law tested all my my powers of diplomacy. I think I just about got away with it.

No Christmas Parkrun for me today because a 9am start didn’t fit in with our schedule. Instead it was an 8am start for a run to my local parkrun in time to do the route an finish just before it started, followed by the run home.

Merry Christmas to my fellow Dons and supporters of other EFL teams. Well apart from that one. You all know that Plough Lane is the home of the real Dons 😀

If this was England’s best chance in a generation to win the Ashes, then there’s not a lot of hope for the next few decades!

What a lovely thought for all the delivery drivers at this time of year

Let’s see what the scum and the FA have to say about Sunderland’s use of “Visitors” on Saturday. No doubt nothing will be said or done.

Maybe I’m being harsh on Bishop, but he really should have stopped that shot on goal… and that’s not the first time I’ve said that recently!

Mr Farage. The letter you sent to me in the post today was a complete waste of money and has been thrown into the recycling bin without anyone reading it. Oh and if you try to send me another, at least try and get my name right.

Going past Battersea Power Station and surprised to see smoke coming from one of their chimneys. What next? Maybe a pink inflatable pig?

I couldn’t have said it better Stella.
When Farage uses his millions to promote hate, we all pay the price.
