A fascinating evening, which built on one of my favourite reads from last Christmas, Sarah Clegg’s ’The Dead of Winter’.

I found this framing helpful. For example, Krampus as the embodiment of the darkness that the festivities are trying to overcome ‘clicks’ for my mind and helps me move past my previous disbelief that someone somewhere once created this idea of a baddie who randomly scares and kidnaps children.
