Plays games, builds stuff and sometimes writes about both. That Patlabor cosplayer hosting events you always run into at FanimeCon. No reservations, no labels. Member of the forgotten Gen Y.
Forgot to include image. They're basically the same exact kit, aside from the gloss white plastic and light kit. Special Set has all the unique trees from the three MG kits (heads, visors, shoulder pods, firearms, figures) but only enough common parts to make one Ingram.

This got me going through my kit pictures from covid. 😅 I think this is where I'll top out skill and time and patience and investment wise. I need to get back into it.

G-Gundam is alright, but the Nobell design is rad. I built one during the pandemic when it was an $8 kit that most hobby shops had collecting dust for years. Way better than any Sailor V figure ever released! I only painted in the back of her hair, rest is stock and quick lined. Tamiya gunmetal.

Coming up on a year since I rebuilt this one. It has been absolutely rock solid. Although I still can't wrap my head around some of the wiring harness logic, particularly the signal lines for the speakers, which seem to pass through the power supply before the game logic board.

Finally framed these flyer / ad prints I got at California Extreme a few years ago. Remember when Chun-Li used to look like Chun-Li?

In normal times, today the government would be acknowledging the 40th anniversary of the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster.

Devil Hunter Yohko 3 bootleg Japanese videocassette. Pretty high quality, all things considered. The holographic stickers are just photocopies. lol A reel had some degraded grease on it or something so I had to split the labels and open for cleaning, then wound both directions by hand.

Question someone here may be able to answer. Who actually created this illustration? I want to buy it but I want to make sure I do so from the real artist and not a thief.

Came across a pair of these Sailor Moon sneakers from a few years ago for a good price and finally caved. As much as I dislike Vans, the quality of these is decent. These will definitely pick up color transfer as well, so they'll be special occasion.

Possibly the most isolated railroad crossing in San Jose. Connects the Alviso and Mallard trails way out in the Alviso marshlands with a legal crossing. If you do cross here, do be careful as the trains are doing about 75MPH and approach far quicker than they appear to.

If you're in SF and the property interests you, this is a decent buy. I'd recommend you get him down to $200 / $175, but an E6 error can usually be remedied by clearing out the hopper and cycling it, then performing a reset.

I finally found one of these in good condition for a fair price. Mark V sets were only made for a couple years and had limited distribution at Disneyland. (Most park stores just sold the Disney World Mark VI sets, even in Anaheim)

The biggest problem with Christmas in the Park is the odd vibe it gives me, like it's the setting of a The X-Files cold open where someone is going to get abducted.

Last two pages from my 2025 calendar. The November image was pretty surreal to take and I got there just before the sun began to blaze. That's shot though the fence at the edge of the SF yard.

I swear, every railcar seat is 100x more comfortable than the Caltrain EMUs. Gold Runner (Gold Digger) may have all sorts of operational problems but the seats are nice at least.

By far the most over the top shoes I own, and that's saying a lot.

Interesting, the Roma Playboy suits for this year have different tails as well, more plush and less fur-like (new on the left, old on the right). Rosette ribbons are longer this year too, that's reversed on the picture (old on the left, new on the right).

Few things from Nikaku today. You can take the San Josean out of Japantown but you can't take the Japantown out of... ah, you get it. That 999 die-cast is rad.

My two favorite space program patches - the final Space Shuttle mission (STS-135), and the late Shuttle-era Mission Operations emblem.

Glad to know I still have the feel for this machine.

Now they got Chiitan on a congressional oversight committee?
