Apple has this mechanism and they're being coerced to use it

Google could quietly reprioritize theirs so that it never ships

I don't think it's as useful for drawing commands because many plans yield the same output.

Suppose I wanna assert that a function draws a checked checkbox. I can't tell if a plan does that without executing it.

(And the benefit is separating planning and execution.)

Android’s new security screening feature is bad and I fucking hate it.

They wanted a mechanism for Google’s security team to block malicious developers.

But the same mechanism can be used by the state to control what we can do with our devices.

"A corridor can be either a road or a street, but not both. A road moves vehicles efficiently. A street provides access to destinations. The moment you try to make one corridor do both jobs, you guarantee congestion, along with crashes and ridiculously high costs." -Charles Marohn

Totally! And they have unfortunately burried a setting to turn it on under advance settings.

But my S25 doesn’t have this feature, like at all?

This is malpractice.

I love Android’s ‘Notification Channels’.

Each notification has a channel & configuration is per-channel. Long press a notification to toggle that channel.

I wonder why there's just a few kids walking
