Eerie camera roll archives from my visit to the Olympics Museum in 2019 – this Olympics ceremony obviously did not happen 368 days later because that was July 2020 and COVID etc. It is spooky to be reminded of how unexpected it all really was.

I watched this guy play in college back in 2019! At the time he was one of those names you never think you'll hear of again after they graduate from an FCS CAA conference rival.

Fri 7 pm: get to Unipol Arena hopefully early enough for a decent floor spot, succeed, bask in glory.
Fri 11 pm: realize we're stranded bc the arena is 7.5 mi away from the city and trains end at 10pm. 20k ppl leaving via shuttle is disaster. Many merch thefts occur in the scramble to get on bus.

Imagine running only one train per hour from the city center to your mega arena 7.5 miles away. Now imagine that train got delayed 35+ mins because it was "too overcrowded to depart" and police had to forcibly remove people off the train. A train that is overcrowded bc there are only 4 measly cars

I have finally seen a walk-off hit at Yankee Stadium and of course it came from Jose Caballero of all batters. Good ol' Death Cabby for Cutie. Finally ending a very long losing streak of games I have attended, and clinching a playoff berth with it
