My husband has #LongCovid #PEM, we’re still masking, here for research & trials
So accurate ❤️‍🩹 Had all that said to my husband who has LC. Either accusatory that he looks well, will improve when the weather improves, needs Vitamin C! And the classic “is he all better now?”. And the ableism off the chart!
And colleagues who never ask about family life because it’s hard to hear

My husband has had #LongCovid for nearly 5 years, very debilitated with chronic fatigue, mainly house-bound, had to give up work in 2021. He gained about 40lb due to inactivity. Started #wegovy in May and his baseline has definitely improved. It’s not a cure but seems to have helped inflammation 🙏

People are living longer but in an awful miserable existence, no quality of life. Why do we prolong the inevitable? I’m taking the red pill before the long slow decline!

It really isn’t. There is a specific question asking if you or husband own a property. It is very clear even if the main property is in husbands name, you have to pay double stamp duty.

Your posts 👏. It’s the only place I’ve seen this petition. And my husband signed it too, he hadn’t been aware of it.

💯 They will be punished by voters next time, people will be very bitter about this as it is very unfair. My husband gets PIP, it is also the gateway to a getting a disability blue badge, which is essential for him.
They aren’t tackling the root causes of why disability has increased.

Probably not what you’re looking for, but in 2025, women are still massively discriminated against, in every aspect of health & tech

My husband is disabled with Long Covid (invisible disability). we traveled with Jet2 recently. Pre-booked assistance. I would highly recommend using it, saves precious energy and reduces stress. Coming back at Bristol, 👩‍✈️ pressured him to get him to walk to terminal, had to advocate strongly for help

The UK pension is shockingly low but this is not news. I have been in work for 37 years and right from the start, the very clear message has been pay into a workplace pension or start your own. No one retiring in last 20 years should be relying solely on state pension.

My point is why do we treat pets as more worthy? We value their quality of life and don’t want to let them suffer. But human life, sure, let’s leave people rot with dementia, needing a feeding tube, confused with zero quality of life. I’d rather be the dog!

When you’ve cared for a dementia sufferer who is violent and is locked in a secure facility 24/7, who begs to be released from their suffering, maybe you’ll understand.

We don’t treat our pets like this, but starving a person to death over painful weeks is apparently fine at end of life! Sign me up

It is exhausting to hear even as the carer - vitamin C, D, B12, physio, rest, yoga, breathing exercises….all well-meaning suggestions. After 4 years of my husband being very ill with LC, it has eased up as people realise there’s no quick fix for his chronic illness

AZ revenue for 2024 was $50 billion and they made $45,811 million profit - why are they asking for tax payers money?? They can pay for their own manufacturing plants

Clearly £2 billion profit for Tesco is not enough, and instead of increasing corporation tax, the government uses our taxes to subsidise the low wages in Universal Credit, just madness!
When are we taking action??
