The number of bots across social media now is unbelievable. What's even crazier is how many people spend time arguing with them. I'm sure I've even done it myself. A large reason for how quickly hateful rhetoric gets spread is due to bots, and there's no way to stop it getting worse.

Going on Letterboxd to rate a disturbing movie that touches on extremely dark and sensitive topics and being met with nothing but reddit tier joke reviews pisses me off so much. I'm not against having a bit of fun there, but sometimes it feels tasteless.

Sam, this is Deadman. You've probably noticed those particle waveforms coming at you from all directions. That's light, on the so-called visible spectrum. Not very useful on its own, but when human eyes feed this data to the brain, it can reveal handy information about your immediate surroundings.
