"We've seen the early stages of what economists call stagflation. The '-flation' part is inflation, and you've all felt that at the grocery store. The 'stag-' part is stagnation, which is we've got rising unemployment and slower economic growth than we otherwise would have."

Just another reminder that your boy’s lyin’.
Trump relentlessly boasts he’s brought gasoline prices way down. The truth is they’re still slightly higher year on year and have spent almost all of 2025 solidly higher.
Somehow no one in media ever corrects him.

As someone who worked in dealerships for many years in my past, at THAT time (I left in 2015) the average length of ownership before trading in a vehicle was 3.5 years.
From the geniuses who brought you the 50 year mortgage over the past week may I present the <15 year car loan>
Once again finance companies will be thrilled. Just one thing, the average ownership length is about half that time and the average vehicle lasts 13 years on the road.

Just a reminder to not get tricked by the headlines or claims being made to ignore the inflation that really is in play.
Walmart Thanksgiving box in 2025 is 25% less than 2024.

It contains half the items of 2024.

Making it actually 50% more expensive than 2024.

Not sure why this matters?

This deal helps pave the way for Sam Altman’s vision for 50 NYC-sized data center cities.

Resulting is rolling blackouts for those on the same electrical grid. Limiting access to water. Imposing light and noise that disrupts your home/neighborhood.

From conversations I had with people who vote republican: I thought the economy was better under republicans because….vibes?
Congrats to everyone who put Republicans in charge "for the economy," the first three quarters of 2025 already had more layoffs than any of the years in which Biden or Obama was President except 2009 (when Dems were still cleaning up the prior Republican mess).

Tech across the board has almost entirely halted in growth. The number of layoffs and people going into month 12+ without a job has been a huge indicator.
Is AI making it worse? Or is there something else at play?

We pay for the electricity.
We the employees will be displaced by the reduction of jobs being reassigned to AI technology.
And our economy will have an increase in unemployment and financial hardship on American families.

But don’t worry cause BlackRock is still safe. 🫠
BlackRock will buy AES, one of the largest publicly traded utility companies in the U.S.

AES is a major power provider for Big Tech companies building out data centers.

Yes: while these data centers drive up your electricity costs, wealthy financiers are going to make a killing.

While the government created the infighting, they continue to grow their wealth and create additional hardship for those already struggling.
