If your school offers German, you have access to a language with so much in common with English, relatively easy pronunciation & familiar words, so many practical applications, a gateway to Swedish, Dutch & even Icelandic. German is a language that genuinely rewards your efforts.

The new language you learn at school might lead to translation, teaching or interpreting, or it might lead to enhanced communication, diplomacy & negotiation skills, understanding of other cultures & a broader mind. Either way, your future life and career are far better with another language or two.
