like, I understand the scarcity of venues. but damn. all it took was DJs and some hookah to make people overlook that they straight up stole from the artists that made that place what it is?

the cultural capital of that building was the murals. they purchased the building anticipating being able to use those murals in the branding/marketing. realized it wasn’t that simple. signed contracts to compensate the artists and then spun the block to say “actually we ain’t paying. do sum’n ”
