Winter has come, along with the cuisine. Tonight was a savory Seafood Risotto with Shrimp, Scallops & Octopus, together with Sautéed Broccoli Rape. It was paired perfectly with a beautiful Santa Rita Hills Chardonnay offering silky texture, citrus curd, pear, yeast, mineral & seashells. 😋😋😋

Thankful for good food, family & Spurs! A delicious meal with cut up & roast marinated the turkey in orange juice, balsamic vinegar, garlic & rosemary. Afterwards, I’m getting humiliated by my kids in Mariocart, so I called timeout for #COYS Apple pie & ice cream. Blessings to all!

Hoping for a 0 - 0 draw is NOT very daring. 🙁

Alternative PL table 12 taking into account injuries. I’m more encouraged but the Arse’s drop than Spurs rise. Spurs need to first prove they can get & stay healthy, but Gabriel may be the crack in the proverbial damn. Let it be so. #COYS

Now that SCR is in and PSR is out starting next season, who does it benefit? Note that the 85% threshold in the EPL is already set at 70% by UEFA for those clubs competing in Europe.
Spurs are on solid footing. #COYS

November fixtures are daunting but the calvary are cresting the hill with the sun rising behind them.
Romero back for Chelsea.
Solanke, Bissouma, Udogie & Tokai back for United.
Deki, Davies & Dragusin for the NLD.

It was more a rhetorical question on how does a recently promoted club beat Chelsea & have 14 points in the table after 8 games, but it prompted me to do research too. This is going to be a very interesting PL season! (Here’s their PL history)

Let's just say pre-Maradona.

Without a doubt, Spurs need to play better & that will probably encompass some tactics & squad changes. But as a reality check, here were the final standings after the league phase last year.

I have to admit, Spurs lucked out going to Bodo early in the competition. It could have been much worse. 11°C projected match time.

This one of course of the vibes.

Akanji going to Inter. Does that mean that Spurs might then get Pavard? Might be a good deal. #COYS

It seems the Spurs are back to talking with City for Manuel Akanji. He’s right-footed & can play RB, LB, RCB & LCB. His defending stats aren’t eye-popping, but his passing stats are. Looks like good cover for a number of positions. #COYS

Even though he’s not PL proven & similar to Deki, Akliouche is the player to target (if LKI not a possibility). Then sign Savinho or Lookman & Spurs have a great, transformative window. Eze who? #COYS

If all possibilities of Savinho are dead, I’ve read Kubo or Akliouche as possibilities. Perhaps Lange is secretly working on this, but Lee Kang-in wants to leave PSG for more minutes. Playing him at 10 & Eze at LW would work very well, though he can also play on both wings. Great passer! #COYS

Great to see a talent like Alejandro Escavedo in a small art gallery venue in Asbury Park.

I haven’t really posted #PizzaFriday here, but this was good!
#Pizza #1- Fresh clam, garlic, chorizo, potato, shaved corn & scallion with grated Manchego.
#2- Meatball, sausage, eggplant, sweet pepper & onion, mushroom & Kalamata olive with fresh & smoked mozzarella.
Served with a lovely Corvina.

Will soon be 21. Argentine/ Spanish from Real Madrid to Como.

Maghnes Akliouche (23) from Monaco, is the player many top clubs want, including PSG. Playing mostly RW & AM, he’s versatile & would probably cost MGW money. Pair his signing with HG Hayden Hackney at 6 (wants to come), shifting Gray to 8 & Spurs’ passing ability will be greatly improved. #COYS
