Anyway the single best check on your espoused prescriptions for social change is whether you yourself are doing what you say others need to do. It's extremely clarifying and usually very humbling.

A story I found about Haiti:

In 1999, a group of Haitians were tired of political disorder and dreamed of a better life in the United States. So they built a small, 23-foot boat by hand using pine trees, scrap wood, and used nails. They called the boat "Believe in God."

While unionized Starbucks workers are on strike for a fair contract, don’t cross the picket line!

Show solidarity — like Zohran Mamdani and Bernie Sanders.

Listen to what they had to say.

I would love to be part of the conversation on MSNBC related to the Kimmel story and it's chilling effects on first amendment, but unfortunately I was terminated by MSNBC for stating that "hateful thoughts lead to hateful words which lead to hateful actions".

Easy move to cancel Hulu/ESPN/disney. I haven’t watched late night maybe in a decade? But turning the airwaves into state TV is just another ridiculous red line crossed. Realistic about my personal impact but boycotts can work.

As an allergist with an MPH in Epi, I feel it important to add our experience. When the COVID vaccine received pediatric indication, my toddler daughter’s pediatrician did not have access yet. We were able to find another wonderful local peds office and felt immense relief once she got her poke.
