This automatic response is called a schema. (Ski-Ma) They’re a form of muscle memory itself, and is formed in childhood. Even if we don’t remember the trauma ourselves,our body does. It’s difficult to rewire our brain to act differently,but through CBT,can help us notice, or even override it.

(2/3) For example: If you see a person with anger issues or they judge themselves too harshly, I think: How did that evolve to become the solution to a problem they faced? These solutions exist in parts of reality. It comes from experience and what we anticipate from life, and how we respond.

Idk this is a pretty helpful book, it’s beneficial for anyone that wants to increase their self understanding when it comes to PTSD and trauma.

Healthcare is a basic human right. I think the people that say otherwise, have never had to even worry about not being able to afford it, and it doesn’t even cross their mind on how fucked up it is.

For example: Yogurt, kimchi, sauerkraut, and such. Fermented foods containing Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium can also potentially treat mental disorders, but the research to that is inconclusive right now. Just food for thought.

It’s important to remember this and to try to calm yourself down, or try to eat a cleaner, healthier diet. If that isn’t possible, ingesting ginger, or peppermint, can alleviate stomach issues. Certain probiotics that contain Lactobacillus or Bifidobacterium which are found in fermented foods.
