I thought I was ready for this result, that I was merely indulging in a little cautious optimism, but had steeled myself for a crueler reality.

It still fucking hurts. In some ways, worse. The last four years were a small respite from the worst of his first term, but failed to provide healing.

I totally subscribe to the creative faucet theory, and would probably be best served coming off a few months of not doing art by churning out some loose, messy stuff, but alas. The art wants what the art wants, and it wanted a tightly rendered face and then ugh fine I guess we'll draw the rest of it
