Building acoustic panels for my (cinder block) basement so I can play drums without my ears bleeding. Printed a nifty corner clamp to help.

Desk Shelf V2 complete. Happy the Macbook and thunderbolt dock have a home, though the laptop sticks out the back a bit. Total cost around $80 for the wood (just the legs), stain, and supplies.

Working on another Desk Shelf, this time for my wife. Trying to match the stain of the red oak legs with the veneer of the repurposed floating shelf and actually got pretty close on the first attempt (stain prep + light coat of “gunstock”stain).

Does anyone know why Microsoft's spellcheck in Outlook has started sucking so badly? This is mostly a rhetorical question, I think I know the answer.

I failed multiple dexterity checks trying to bend & glue the photoetch shuttlebay part for my 1/537 #Reliant Miranda Class ship build, so I gave up and modeled a much more accurate part. I think I can make little clear inserts for the light strips as well. #Miniatures

My wife is partaking in a D&D one shot at a work retreat, and as the Spouse With a 3D Printer™ I made everyone’s hero forge characters. Removing the supports took awhile so I could only do a base coat, but definitely appreciate the urge to paint and detail these things. Maybe soon… #miniatures

Upper saucer photoetch pieces have been installed on the 1/537 Reliant with an initial putty/sanding pass, then sprayed with black primer to check my work (it's bad, lol). I'll do another pass and need to use a finer grain sandpaper.

Calling the 1/350 Grissom complete. I'll have to get a black seamless backdrop (and a better camera?) for proper photos. #StarTrekModels #ScifiMiniatures #Grissom

New build commencing! 1/537 Reliant. Photoetch parts from greenstrawberry, bridge replacement from Lake Monster Details. I bought a Tamiya electric drill but didn’t realize it was a kit itself, thankfully I didn’t flub the build. #StarTrekModels #ScifiMiniatures #Reliant

Not many guides for making/wiring model bases but I made this in Blender based loosely off @mkmmodelwerx.scot's very nice looking, far superior stand (ko-fi.com/s/6f81c593d8) and figured out the wiring with some trial and error - button and plug from hdamodelworx.com. #StarTrekModels #Grissom

Final test fit for the 1/350 USS Grissom build after filling the windows. Still some decals left to apply, but it's nice to look at a fully assembled ship! #StarTrekModels #ScifiMiniatures #ScifiModels #Grissom

Ventured into (very basic) woodworking and made a desk shelf for storing audio gear & controllers - for the cost of 2' of walnut board for the legs. I used a laminated floating shelf we had in storage, cut/sanded the legs, and made a little shelf insert. Also: hobby room is getting crowded!

Tucson Ward 6 election getting spicy. Shoutout to the PAC formed last week that just sent me this disgusting mailer, I will definitely not be voting for your candidate (an injury attorney!) and will instead be seriously considering Miranda Schubert. She seems pretty cool.

Pulled out this Panasconic palmcorder from the late 90's from a "childhood junk" bin my mom sent to me. Last used in 2002 with the tape still in it - powered right up and played! Will be fun to go through old VHS-C tapes - hopefully all still playable. Gotta find a capture card.
