I enjoyed reading James. I grew up with Mark Twain. This book tells the same narrative as Huckleberry Finn from the perspective of the escaped slave Jim. You can't understand slavery unless you see it from the point of view of the enslaved.

One of the things I enjoy during the time I am walking the dog or doing housework or driving home at night is listening to podcasts. I am particularly enjoying Poe Evermore. I just listened to the Christmas episode where he dines with Charles Dickens and they discover a Christmas Carol.

Can a science fiction book exist on pure dialog and little action? I am reading Dune Messiah. I am more than halfway through and so far it is just dialog. I suspect it is leading up to something happening but it is sure a lot of people talking.

Yesterday I went to the Toyota dealership for service on my wife's car. They had free fried chicken while we waited. We may have overpaid for the car but at least the service is good.

I would not trust RFK, Jr. to make any choices regarding my health.
