Trump and his allies are calling for resistance against the District Courts. The battle for freedom will take place in the courts in the short term but we will have to win the republic back for ourselves.

I generally agree with you but would like to play devil's advocate. If fact checking erroneously suppresses accurate speech or partially accurate speech then it does stop free speech. Fact checking is not good or bad in principle but in application.

It's similar to having to add "gate" to every scandal. I had to explain what Watergate was to my 29 year old daughter even though she has grown up hearing gate appended to every kerfluffle.
