Had my first mammogram at age 40.
They found a suspicious area, so had additional testing.. after an ultrasound and a biopsy I was diagnosed with DCIS. They tried 4 lumpectomies but were unable to get clear margins, I had a double mastectomy at 41 years old. If it wasn’t for a screening mammogram… 😔
