Heated Rivalry did manage to capture a lot of what has been so refreshing for me about watching c-dramas:
1) starting from an existing written text that has a complete story
2) filming it as a whole story with a beginning, middle and end
3) properly lighting it and using all the colors

One thing I will forever hate in a book is where multiple characters know some big thing that is hidden from the reader for no discernable reason other than cucking us out of understanding something fundamental about a character. I am so annoyed rn. 😒
