The only thing that goes harder is the Super Famicom box art for Super Strike Eagle

Disc 1: Very good

Disc 2: Clearly making it up as they went. The "Huge Materia" maguffin makes no sense.

Disc 3: Wraps up nicely, decent amount of endgame content for a game of that era

Fun Fact: MadCatz got their name because the controllers are so bad that even your cat would be pissed if you got one for Christmas

AI-led debugging can be crazy useful: every programmer hates debugging, and an LLM can have a big-picture view of the code in a way automated unit testing cannot.

AI-led QA is a disaster waiting to happen. LLM's lack the ability to recognize "quality", thus there can be no "assurance" of it.
Square Enix says it wants generative AI to be doing 70% of its QA and debugging by the end of 2027.

The only AI-led QA that I can see working is crash detection. Do a bunch of random stuff and see what happens.

But most QA experts will tell you that, especially in games, finding those bugs is as much an art as it is a science.

And we all know how good LLMs are at "art"... 🙄

Not to even mention the shortsighted idiocy of removing a common entry-level path that offers on-the-job training for future producers, designers, and developers.

I used to always keep a tin of Cinnamon Altoids in my pocket.

Haven't had one in years... maybe I should try them again...
