Ikoku Nikki anime is a treasure (based on the manga 違国日記). Beautiful and mature and thoughtful. I'm so happy that 2026 has started with good anime when last year was such a drought for me. I hope it continues.

If it's to read manga then focus on reading skills. If it's to speak, do think like listen to podcasts and practice speaking with a teacher.

I see lots of people want to study Japanese for their new years's resolution, but it helps to build habits so you can do it consistently for the whole year. Here are some tips on how to build those habits.
