I'm a little bummed. Not because I was wrong. I'm okay with being wrong. But I have fears about the unified design. To make shorts + boots work for me, you gotta go hard and stylized yass/slay. I fear the mix with practicality/realism will make this look fall flat. But we'll see.

i was predicting TR 1 reimagination over a year ago based on a bit of info that Tasha Huo let slip. she repeatedly said the anime leads into "that first tomb raider adventure". combine that with her saying it's canon between "where we came from and the next game" and i'm like *waves hands*

As always, this could be totally fake and made up, BUT it's worth pointing out that the longer you refuse to share any information at all about your long term secret project, the more likely it becomes that someone will share it for you, full of dangerous half truths, and when you're unprepared.

I won't try to argue that the return of Sam is right for the franchise as a whole (it's complicated), but as a Samara stan, I love having her back, and I love that she is finally not a damsel in distress. But I wonder how Camilla Roth will feel about Sam🤔 7/?

I love that lara seems confident and slay, and I love that there's really no men in sight either as villains or heroes. It took a long time, but even this reboot stan has had enough of male role model drama. Give me a bunch of hot women being cunty to each other. 6/?

The moppy fringe has gotta go. I loved it when she was a terrifying muddy jungle predator stringing up trinity soldiers in trees but it's time to clean up a bit. Look how great she looks here when the wind blows her fringe back as it would look as if pulled into the braid. 2/?
