I'm ngl, learning that I don't have to do lineart for my work has made my process a million times better. All of my art are just cleaned-up sketches and I don't caaaaaare!!! It helps me actually finish things 🫶🏾

All of that just to say: I've been having a lot of fun working on this drawing with them! It doesn't feel rushed or that I have anything to prove about how I want the fandom to view their relationship. It's just a pretty piece of Keith kissing Allura 🥹 and that's much healthier to do as a creative

With me, I always say that a good indication of how deeply I care for a relationship in media/the media itself is when I start creating for it. I use art as the main telling medium bc art takes me the most time/concentration, and me putting that effort into creating means something

A lot of my silence these days is because I'm not thinking about anything worth sharing , but I was really just thinking about how, in another universe, I'd be a fairly well-known kl creator (translating my talent and scope of works now to back then)

Revisiting his now that I've watched Sinners: Both Golden and I Lied To You deserve a Grammy BUT something tells me Golden will always win if it's up against I Lied To You.
Too many Grammy voters had Golden go quadruple platinum with their kids, and they never vote against the whims of their kids

Editing 5yo drawings of Keith and (human) Allura graduation headshots from my university that I can't post in full bc the gown colours are so unique it would give away the university :^)... before I send myself to bed bc I wasn't feeling 100%....

Gushing about my magnum opus for a bit, but one of the things I love about Evening Showers is that I have it printed with toner — and for some reason the lighting of the piece is so well translated irl? The add glow layers actually added glow in real life it's a little surreal to look at sometimes

Restarted my lunchtime daily exercise and Mini decides she wants to be a part of them now! So stretch routines include me using her as a free weight and treadmill walks include me constantly taking her off before I actually start the mill 😅

But also.... it feels odd to be so... against wanting to engage with my muses. It feels less like the usual "waning of interest" and more like there's a physical wall in between me and my love for them. I'd love to go back to something soon, but I think I will just give myself grace

I'm aware that there's a block on my brain for creation because I haven't finished ironing out a few things. As of right now, I'm only good for AAI and work... but I'm hoping I'll be better around Saturday

Oh also! I really enjoy the fact that a lot of the people I follow have been approaching simple creation for creation's sake lately. I've been running around and playing with the idea of creating a separate blog for traditional art/WIPs and seeing others discuss it has renewed my feelings on it
