This is very lovely. The recipe says 2/3rds cup butter, but I've found that a half cup butter plus a quarter of shortening makes cutting less likely to fracture the whole thing.

Broke a drought of over a decade to slam through a quilt. A friend is having her first, and that means baby-quilt. Absolutely not my best work by a long shot, but this thing will get poop on it at some point. Also, if those cat faces aren't drawn in by age 5 I'll be surprised.

Here are two views of our observation spot. The brighter one was taken at about 15 to 20% totality, which means you can't really tell. The other one was during totality. We had a temperature drop of about 15 degrees!
