With yesterday’s word that Ford is likely to discontinue their popular, beloved electric F-150 (I own one), I’m about ready to conclude that the battle for the global auto market is over and China has won. The U.S. has dropped out of the race in favor of huffing glue.

wrote this in 2023 . terrifying to see all this come to light. when i started writing about this stuff, no one was covering. it was like seeing something happen beneath the ice. and now its all coming out.

That change happened in spite of the establishment over several election cycles. Mamdani's speech is the start, the rest of us will take it from here. In central committee meetings, caucuses, conventions, and on the ground.

I was thinking the same thing as I listened. This is going to change things.

I'm reminded of 2008.

If the non Frey votes all no-ranked Frey, it could still go not-Frey.

Due to the rules, the not-Frey result will likely have to wait for all the votes to come in before a call.

So far.

Short version: the first rank votes aren't getting past 50%, so we all are waiting for the rest of results before they run the ranked choice process to find out who one. Will be late.
