There are cameras on those roads too, especially near the border and near main highway "safety" checks. According to the New York Times investigation and story, use of side roads is one of the triggers that are used to initiate a stop.

I saw him once at a small club along the Hudson River, probably in the very late 1990's, when his life was spiraling. There were about four "guys" in the club. He did maybe two songs then walked off stage. I always wanted to give him another chance, but never did.

You could add a question asking how many of the men in Congress have been abused. It's certainly not zero, and they should be for full disclosure too!

Yikes! That airspace is generally used by small and large aircraft flying without contacting ATC at all. What could possibly go wrong???!!!

I understand ICE is populated by a gang of thugs and trained to be cruel as a matter of policy. What I don't understand is why local, city, and state police stand by and allow ICE to attack the public. They should be protecting their community and stopping ICE in their tracks.

Trump gets his news from FOX and the MAGA media universe, so he may actually believe many of the lies he's telling. The rest of his team knows better, and is lies shamelessly.

I think the best response would be for the federal government to let those states revote the 2024 Presidential election. It won't happen, but yeah, that's what the response should be.

It'll be kinda like the cable TV monopolies or land line telephone companies in an era of over-the-air communications. It'll be a little harder for the gas companies to repurpose their infrastructure, but they'll get subsidies and do just fine (until they finally don't).

I don't think the public has fully rejected the elites. It's more like they've rejected them in their current state, and would probably like them better if they were broiled, fried, or even grilled.

Or, Republicans in the House could return to their jobs right now and negotiate a settlement for a CR, and then a new budget. The Democrats are at work in the Senate and House, and ready, willing, and able to get the government open.

Putin has tested the delivery vehicle, not the nuclear warhead. That's a huge difference, but Trump can't grasp even that level of nuisance, and sees escalating to testing warheads as equivalent.

Peter Welch is my Senator (Vermont). He's generally been very quiet, and also effectively engaged away from the cameras. It's nice to see him stepping forward so the rest of the country can appreciate his leadership and statesmanship.
