Republicans just removed Miami Beach's famous pride crosswalks. They could have painted them, but instead used bulldozers to destroy the bricks. Pride crosswalks are a tiny, symbolic gesture. But they are still important symbols of the political climate.

The issue here is that he’s claiming they’re stopping him while they’re not. If anything things are getting worse. The fact that things are getting worse is absolutely a trump problem but the false claim isn’t.

The Day After (1983)

This film is, of course, one of the most well known nuclear war movies ever made. It significantly changed US opinion about nuclear war and it’s not hyperbole to say it played a role in the end of the Cold War.
