Hubby took me on a date night... dinner and a movie put on by the Malibu Film Society.
Even had a personal message from Cary Elwes thanking us for coming out and talking about yhe damage the fire and mud slide did to the community last year.

As always, I honor my great grandfather who served in WWI & WWII as a Lt Col in the Army. He was a man of service.
Also his father and all the Pinckney men before them who served our country since the American Revolution when 2 Pinckney's helped draft and signed the Constitution.

I had sooooo much help decorating a Christmas tree for a charity auction yesterday.
My tree is a Cat theme, and as I was adding the little Santa mice I noticed they kept disappearing.
My cats Obi-Wan and Wicket decided to "help". But in the end I was able to finish it.

I used to pay $2800/mo for health insurance for our family.
Then with the ACA we only had to pay $600/mo for same coverage.
Friends of mine are getting letters saying their premiums will go up almost 1000%!!!!
These are real American families. Friends of mine.

1 year ago I planted the little cut off bottom of a store bought green onion that still had a couple tiny roots on it.
Now I reap the bounty!
And yes, all parts are edible when you let a green onion grow out like this. The dark green leaves are a little tougher. But thats it.

In reality, he is nuts!
He is a Turkish Van, a breed known for their cashmere fur and love of water and dogs.
We got him as a 2 week old filthy sick orphan kitten who was found in a storm drain, and nursed him back to health as his foster parents.

Sweet boy is 9 years old and still prowls the neighborhood. He is our only outdoor kitty, as he has been since he was a baby and would hunt mice on our little mini farm. He loves it, and we know the risks.
