I have to completely disagree. Skating, energy and solid goaltending from the #Leafs, granted, in a game against a team missing SEVEN regulars, including #Barkov and #Tkachuk. But dump and chase and flipping pucks out is ugly hockey. @mirtle.bsky.social

They're not planning the parade yet, but the #Leafs have won two in a row and outscored their opponents 11-3. Toronto's style is dump and chase and scoring from scrambles. But it's worked for six periods. On to Carolina to wrap up the road trip on Thursday.

The #Leafs are making good on their limited chances in Florida - two 1st period goals on just four shots, picking up from Pittsburgh where they scored seven on just 18 shots. Still, lotsa Leafs just flipping the puck out and battling along the boards. It ain't pretty, but...

I'm shocked that @jtbourne.bsky.social is shocked that Morgan #Rielly is a defensive sieve. He has been one since he was in junior and drafted in the first round by Brian #Burke. Also, he's the common thread in the #Leafs 12-season failure to come even close to a Cup.
