1- restrictions are required for civility. some are justified, some aren't, we figure out which is which via thinking it through collectively
2- "they likely will"? are you just fantasizing? 😭 larping as web-prophet?

they SHOULD fold quick, the project is set to be open source and to some extent democratic. maybe not the best, but better than a CEO who does whatever he wants with no regard for what the userbase actually wants, right? : )

bsky's biggest booms in userbase came from the various moments of widespread rightwing degradation on twitter. why wouldn't they double down on what is working for business? do you think they work for the sake of an idealist, never-before-seen "free marketplace of ideas"? or do they do it for money?
