Just as I was gonna go to sleep, my github repo bugged out and accidentally merged two different versions of my project and for a second I thought all my progress today was just GONE, but I was able to fix it by merging an even older version of the project with my current one and touching it up...

from then start implementing the actual like "arcade games" that these arcade machines exist for. I already have a very very very basic prototype for how I want the movement for one to go. It would be nice if I can get that started this weekend.

Now I think I will look to implement the last main level scene, and then interactable elements in the game world. I want to let you be able to read flavor text from the arcade machines, look at the posters on the wall, and open and close the toilet doors. Once these are added I think I can...

I’ll probably start ripping Pokemon HGSS sprites too as well for the characters.

But the point is that I want to find a way to make them feel more true to what the player feels as they play. Need to do some research on this in the meantime as I'm learning more and more.

With this game, I'm starting to get a grasp of some game design elements I def need to study or understand better. Like my biggest gripe with this 2D game tutorial, is the hitboxes feel really weird. I'm not sure if it's the visual, or if it's actual box, or if it's my characters hurtbox, or what.

Did Tim Rogers translate this game?

move on to CS50P (which is less of a time commitment) and make more time to dive into #TRUE game development with Godot. I still plan to develop my CS principles and strength on the side, but it will be better once I'm further motivated with my game development perspective (I hope).

understanding of computing. But not something that deeply familiarizes me with the concept at play. So I've been kind shirking the homework a little, also given I don't even have enough time for them on the weekends lately so lol. Nevertheless I only have 2 weeks left of CS50x before I am gonna...

and error? NOPE! Here take an entire initialized code body that does literally all of that for you and instead just write some for loop to mess with an array with an algorithm we'll explain to you. Really it's just a glorified algebra problem at this point. Maybe at best one that explores my...

example this past week I learned about pointers. So you'd imagine I'd do some homework that required me to solve problems that you only could with pointers and pointer notation right? That'd make sense. Make me comfortable with pointer notation. Get me acquainted with their quirks through trial...

game that will be 80% set-dressing and 29% actual game. But I think it’s a really cool idea and I’m excited to put it into action.

I also am planning to share some updates here whenever I feel they are significant so look forward to that (if you care lol).

I’m very surprised to find myself making a game that is much more aesthetically focused as my first. I have a bit of a reputation amongst people who know me that I have a bit of bias against games which are more primarily focused on set dressing and less game-y elements, but here I am making a…
