In Northwold at a lovely low-key event for their annual blessing of the plough. We processed behind the plough following Morris dancers and music to arrive at the church ready for its blessing. God Speed the Plough ! #ploughmonday #tradition #backtowork #folklore #morrisdancing

An unexpected diversion led us to Halesworth in Suffolk for their annual Day of Dance, featuring many Morris & Molly Dancers, plus the odd Mari Lywd & ‘Obby Oss

It is said that when the clergy wanted to recite the Cathedral City of Salisbury from Old Sarum, an archer was directed to fire his bow and wherever the arrow landed a new cathedral would be built
