Joelle, she/her, AuDHD, cottage industry garment worker, sewing, knitting, spinning, plants, libraries, books, games. Not a fascist trad wife -- I just dress like a story book, and like baking bread and reading Tolkien.
So good!

"We don't want to be Luddites --" brother, Luddites were opposed to bosses concentrating wealth by using technology to make inferior product with warehouses fulls of starving exploited child labor. You don't have to wear the team jersey but respect the game.

Thank youuuu! I need to save some cheeses for my meeces (friends) coming to dinner on Saturday.

That will be my herculean task of the day.

I understand that it's not a common way of marking the seasons, because the weather doesn't match as closely as the solstice or 1 December being the start of winter.

And the summer solstice is midsummer. Summer begins on 1 May.

It's a mash-up of an astronomical marker, the amount of light hours, and the calendar.

1 Nov is around the midpoint between autumnal equinox and winter solstice.

1 Feb is around the mid point between winter solstice and vernal equinox, so that's my start of spring even though it's snowy.
