No, we're not calling it Alligator Alcatraz.

It's a Florida concentration camp.

We're currently fostering a broken leg greyhound from the Wheeling track. He's a sweet boy (although our greyhound Trixi isn't a big fan). He'll soon be on his way to a forever home after healing.
Thanks @altaonline for such an in-depth look at the transition from track to fostering.

Tomorrow, a certain online mega-retailer launches a book sale, just days before Indie Bookstore Day on 4/26. This is no coincidence; Bookstore Day is one of the largest revenue drivers for indies.

Indies need our support to thrive & build community spaces for all...mega-retailers do not.

One of my antidotes to doomscrolling is the Ntional Zoo panda cam. Even if they're just sleeping I feel like it lowers my BP a few points.

Remember, the Holocaust didn’t start with gas chambers in Auschwitz.

It started with politicians dividing the people with “us vs. them”.

It started with intolerance and hate speech.

It started when people stopped caring, became desensitized, and turned a blind eye.

Remember.

I’m telling everyone: Do not open the door or say a word unless you’re expecting someone and know exactly who it is.

Know your rights. Pass these around…

This is great advice (and perspective).
Hi. The news is awful right now. It really helps me to pick one thing in my control and focus on that.

Did you eat some food high in protein today? Have you had water? How about gently sitting up straight?

Some things don't have to be perfect, they just have to get done.

One thing at a time.

A fine example of courage and honesty.
“I had a feeling that there were people watching what was happening and wondering, Was anyone going to say anything?” Bishop Mariann Budde explained. “Was anyone going to say anything about the turn the country’s taking?”

So, she took a breath, and spoke. nyti.ms/3WtmNY2
