So Navarro here is expressly admitting that it was Trump’s tariffs that caused the economy to contract in the first quarter of 2025.
Peter Navarro on CNBC reacts to the shrinking GDP number by insisting it's actually good news because if you strip out the effect of tariffs "you have 3 percent growth. So we really like where we're at now."

Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen is demanding a meeting with El Salvador President Nayib Bukele over the detention of Kilmar Abrego Garcia and says he’ll go to El Salvador himself if the Marylander isn’t returned.

Well Trump & his DOJ ARE defying the courts, the Supreme Court⁉️

Judge Xinis trying to get the DOJ lawyer to tell her where Abrego Garcia is is important information.

More fundamentally, though, I wish she'd ask if he's still alive.

It is literally extortion in plain view (violation of both federal and state criminal laws) and must be prosecuted by @alvinbraggnyc.bsky.social @manhattanda.bsky.social since our current US DOJ clearly won't.
Could someone smarter than me please help me understand how this isn't LITERALLY EXTORTION?

When DOJ filed its response to Judge Xinis around 12:15 pm today, it said: “Plaintiff is in the custody of a foreign sovereign.”

Drew Ensign’s name was on the brief.

An hour later, at the hearing, Ensign told the judge that he didn’t have info on Garcia’s whereabouts and custodial status.

Of what, I'm not sure. DOJ will just show up with same story.

Judge needs to hold people in contempt. And the family needs to sue. This man deserves the government to present the evidence against him. The family should depose Pam Bondi.
