The highlighted column is the Projected WAR for 2026

@fangraphs.com Crowdsource best-fits to roughly this:
Years = 2 x (ProjWAR - 1)
AAV = 7.5 x ProjWAR

So, a 3 ProjWAR player would get 4 years, 22.5 AAV, or a 4/90 deal

Let's see how the market ACTUALLY responds

Ultimate in this regard is probably The Triple Crown Line (about as perfect a nickname as there is, merging the baseball term with the Kings name)

The Kings were something like -15 overall, meaning that when these guys weren't on the ice racking up around +40, they were otherwise -55 without them

Sometimes it's really easy to figure out who played on the same line and if the defenders were paired up with their forwards or not

We should add it the Histogram, but for now, you can see it here:

And with a little bit of work, you can work with it here:

Minor league batter who benefitted most from ABS Challenge, both in challenges made (flipping 11 calls, losing only 5 challenges) and in challenges against him (3 flipped, with 12 lost challenges for opponent)

Clearly, disagreement as to how top of this batter's zone is called

This minor league LHH challenged an enormous # of outside pitches, almost all to no avail

Itll be exciting to see how MLB batters are going to challenge (if even allowed to by their club)

If its me: only allow it for best batter on the team, or any on a potential K/BB flip. Otherwise, catcher-only

Using information from Cot's, we can construct a continuous function to better represent what the bonus payout could have been, had it gone out to the 20th spot

In 1971, Habs won Stanley Cup, backstopped by Rookie Goalie Ken Dryden, who played 6 games in regular season, followed by 20 in playoffs, playing every minute, and earning the Conn Smythe for playoff MVP.

The following season, he won rookie of the year

At pitches just inside strike zone, pitches are called strike 77% of time

At pitches just outside strike zone, pitches are called strike 14% of time

There is an especially noticeable difference when there's 0 or 2 strikes

Will be interesting to see it in an ABS-Challenge world

wOBA in 3-2 Counts
By Number of Prior Pitches Thrown

wOBA on 3-2, regardless of number of prior pitches, is .388 (thats first long dashed line)

wOBA on 3-2, when 11+ prior pitches is .402 (thats smaller dashed line)

So, there's a small advantage to the batter on longer PA
