On Friday, Carney said Canada expects China to cut tariffs on Canadian canola seed to a combined rate of about 15 per cent by March 1, part of an initial trade deal that also reduces tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles.

Canada is diversifying its trading partners and not relying solely on the US anymore.
"Trade is not fundamentally about competition. It's not us versus Canada. It's us and Canada." It's really about cooperation. And if the United States won't cooperate reliably with Canada, we shouldn't be surprised when Canada looks for new friends to cooperate with. And Americans miss out.

The U.S. currently has multiple rounds of tariffs on key sectors of the Canadian economy, including steel, aluminum, autos and lumber.

They keep blaming Trudeau/Carney and the Libs for our woes but conveniently leave out how the provinces in Canada have primary responsibility for most services that impact people’s daily lives.
