no AI. politics mostly limited to replies.
Well, you see, Angela Alsobrooks has to do something AI-related because the entire reason she ran for Senate was to bring fricking data center money to PG County.

Yes, I'm really really bitter that she was my only choice.

Following this up with a disclaimer that I'm not going to reply to any further edgelords who think performative cynicism is more socialist than the direct action I actually take. I'm fully fricking aware of how evil corporations are. Go pick fights elsewhere. This isn't twitter.

The Golden Age of American public schools where you could just get Red Bulls and Fruitopias from vending machines at school

They still make me laugh lol.

They're perfectly fine! I don't know what I was expecting. Then again that was also peak SoBe time and the pina colada one put every other soft drink in existence to shame, so I guess it had uhh ... big ... caps ... to fill. Or something.

My parents wouldn't let me try these out when I was in high school so it was the first thing I went out and bought as soon as I got my driver's license, like I was being real bad or something.

Man, it was anticlimactic. Lol.

The main reason I didn't have kids. I never saw what it was like for an adult to be even a marginally functional parent, and didn't want to run that risk. So I just ended the cycle. Know plenty of others who made that choice for the same reason, too. :\

Yeah, just weird to deliberately send strays the way of people who ultimately agree with you. Cheers.

I'm not sure why you're being this belligerent, but ok.

I mean that's what confuses me. The anime ad campaign was lucrative. People bought stuff for the images on the products from the ads. It made them a shit-ton of money.

Just did some poking around, and my main epilepsy med would cost 29 times less completely out of pocket in Ireland. It's at minimum 4x more expensive in the US than everywhere else in the world, but for some reason Ireland specifically has been working on QOL and social reintegration for epileptics

Bizarre that they did this a year after commissioning four hand-animated ads from an anime studio that were so wildly successful they got international praise

I don't think Helen Phillips thought reality would catch up quite so quickly when she wrote "HUM"

It's cool when you have to have a "Big C" type talk with your psychiatrist and dance around saying things because the healthcare system they work within actively wants you gone as you're a drain on resources that should by rights be going into gilded ballrooms and apocalypse bunkers

It is very rare that I've ever regretted supporting a small business, especially one that is queer-run and both vocally and material supportive of LGBTQ+ rights. So I'm not mad, especially knowing this business is struggling.

But I think I may have just gotten a bottle of uncut patchouli oil.

Man, I hope so. This is a cancer that needs to be excised before it metastisizes.
