The Library where I work has instituted a Food for Fines February. One food item cancels out one book fine, we then give the food to our local Food Bank. Any Librarians following me should suggest it to your Managers.

Took my first, and hopefully only, fall of the winter. Slipped on some ice and landed flat on my back and hit my head on the sidewalk. Mild concussion, whiplash and a very sore back. Grateful for the two men who saw the fall and helped me to my feet. What a day.
