That was a pretty dramatic conclusion to the War Between the Land and the Sea. It had a real tragedy with commentary on war and the conquest and death humanity is capable of when threatened

The War Between the Land and the Sea is just so exciting and unpredictable. Political conflicts, waring factions, conquest, media manipulation for agendas and personal relationships all intertwined. It's insane but full of consequences and stakes

It's probably due to licensing and the expense of it, but there are so many David Bowie songs that would be a perfect fit for #DoctorWho and just sum up the series

I think Malcolm Hulke would strongly approve of the War Between the Land and the Sea. As a socialist rallying against hierarchies and corporations with strong opinions on the environment, he would appreciate the message. It is kind of like a modernised Malcolm Hulke political thriller

I really liked the first two episodes of the War Between the Land and the Sea. It tackles topical issues, but with a real sense of class. It feels grounded and based in real world conflicts and complex dynamics dealing with relationships between nations and corporations

The re-edited Sea Devils is pretty good. It's a comfort story for many fans like myself, full of action, dramatic stakes, and interesting themes, and this has kept the bulk of the story but just readjusted it to a feature length format similar to the Pyramids of Mars Tales of the Tardis

I've had problems with the way the politics and themes of recent #DoctorWho have been handled. A lot of it has felt a bit pandering and insincere but I do find it kind of funny when reactionaries get all worked about the War Between the Land and the Sea sending an enviromental message

It looks pretty good. The grounded feel and dramatic stakes should hopefully bring out the best in Russell T Davies

The more I think about the last couple of years of #DoctorWho the more I hope that future generations judge it sensibly because its not the worst of the show, it just wasn't good enough for the expectations riding on it

If the rumours are true that Russell T Davies is leaving I really hope Pete McTighe does not take over. No disrespect to him but his output on #DoctorWho has been very poor. The show needs fresh blood and an outside voice to breathe fresh life into it. Its running on an outdated formula

I have to say #DoctorWho being back next year isn't necessarily good news for me. I get the want to follow up the Billie Piper reveal but I feel its just going to have regressive results. I don't want Doctor Who to keep throwing stuff out for the sake of existing

Kind of amusing how vague it all is. If I'm honest Christmas 2026 is sooner than I expected

I know my views don't always line up with others when it comes to the future of #DoctorWho but I struggle to take fans seriously who either claim all of the most recent run is the best or worst of the show. The truth usually lies somewhere in the middle

Maybe its my optimistic mindset but I don't think the conversation around #DoctorWho needs needs to be doom and gloom. Think about it this way, there are 60+ years of wonderful stories to enjoy that aren't going anywhere. Even if the series never comes back that's an incredible legacy

My articles from this point are mainly going to be broad topics, rankings and indivigual reviews. I'm not going to spend a lot of my energy dealing with the future of #DoctorWho. There's a lot of history to the show that is worth discussing and I'm keen to do topics around

I really want the next Doctor to be a scientist again who travels the universe for scientific discovery. Its an aspect that was key to William Hartnell's Doctor back in 1963 and seems to have been lost over the years

I reckon rather than focusing purely on Gods which got tiring quickly this past #DoctorWho era should have done more with fantasy folklore and myths. The show already did Goblins in the Church on Ruby Road

Been reflecting a lot on the Fifteenth Doctor era and its a really odd one. It's had a lot of standout episodes and a great Doctor but feels let down by more overall problems. Finales, story arcs, character development and tonal issues bring it down dramatically
