Whenever someone tries to dismiss the harm Covid can do I think about how, since I got the variant that ravaged your gastric system way back in February 2021, I am nauseous about 75% of the time and, every six weeks or so, have a bout that flattens me for at least three days.

It's not a competition, of course, but one of my buddies lives with chronic pain and says that if she had to choose between two terrible options she'd stick with that instead of near-constant nausea. And from what I hear first trimester nausea is utterly brutal, so you have my empathy!
