Doodling out the curse of knowledge - and Woodstock and the teachers in snoopy kept coming into my head.. sprinkled a little covey quote on this as I love the “seek first to understand, then to be understood” chapter.

The positive thing… things are changing, I link #showTheSalary much less in comments on LinkedIn as pay bands are shared more transparently… but there’s still a lot coming out with nothing an expectation that you state what you think your worth…

You may have done the salary dance, it’s not fair and it’s not def not something that would get a 10 out of 10 on strictly.
I found out…repeatedly different moves you could pull-like negotiating?! It never occurred to me-however it did to several peers who came in way over me in💰for same role

The crab effect, comes from the behavior of crabs in a bucket, (I’d like to say they should not be in the bucket-but il stay on track) so where a single crab could escape the crab effect is that they pile on, pull others back, resulting in the entire crabby bucket clans demise….

In more personal news-after soaking and cooking a big batch of chick peas for hummus making-then remembering I was in Scotland all week working… I found chick peas freeze perfectly well 🥳🥳
