Star Wars YouTube is the worst part of the Star Wars fandom by country mile, and actively causes most of the problems they complain about.
The "controversy" around The Last Jedi reflects a decline in media literacy fueled by Star Wars YouTube. It is staggering when fans who claim to love film adopt YouTuber critiques without sincerity. If you misrepresent and misunderstand Star Wars, it's on you.
