Really enjoyed the familect on a recent episode about the water handle. Was amused to learn when I worked at a Jaguar car dealer years ago they are referred to as a Dowager Handle in the parts manuals. How’s that for a Britishism?!

I used to subscribe to lots of newsletters pushed out by email. Nowadays they are drowned in a sea of other email, which I'm constantly unsubscribing and reporting as spam, making email not such a great channel for me. Thus I go directly to the website on a regular basis and read all about it there.

This is an actual quote. They both appeared on the 50th Academy Awards together (1978) when Hamill said this memorable line.

So excited to see this movie when it came out, drove all the way to the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood. Saw an 8 a.m. showing on the day after it opened. Stood in a huge long line and happened to be next to actress Joyce Bulifant - bubbly as ever. Everything about that day made a huge impression on me.

I had an encounter with a mountain lion on a trail along a barranca near my house in Anaheim in 1971. It was about 30 feet away before it headed back to its own stomping grounds.

Yes, I often search for a name of someone I’m interested in. Sometimes find they’ve been a guest a few times in others’ podcast or even might have their own. Also, will search on a topic. Every once in a while will hit the New button on Apple Podcast player where Recco, New, Top Series, Episodes…

Do it for the year. If not now, when? You’re worth it. The time and attention at the salon is a small sacrifice. Then down the road you can look back and you’ll always have that Year of Great Hair. Make appointment ✅.

I watched this video about a week ago. I really like Steve’s stories. He has a knack for finding interesting and weird locations, especially in the Pacific Southwest including a lot in San Diego. County. I like how he does his research on old maps.

Thanks but two different companies. The EOS I was with was EOS International (Electronic Online Systems) which was bought out by SirsiDynix. It still exists today as a product EOS.Web. The EOS you saw today is Evolution of Smooth, a good name for skincare products. There are others as well.

I was very much into comedy then. There was a long article in the LA Times about Cassandra Peterson that I must’ve read 20x. Like everyone else, I thought if I said something clever, we’d be pals. Alas, it was not to be.
