Rotated as much as I think you could realistically expect, dominated, incredibly unfortunate not to have the game wrapped up early and then concede from their only shot on target. Eight from eight from the spot. I have zero complaints about tonight.

Yep. Good performance overall. Play like that most weeks and we’re going to win trophies this season, even if tonight doesn’t go our way, pending penalties

I mean, there’s not much to complain about there, bar the mistake at the end for the goal. We didn’t even mess up our chances per se, we just ran into a keeper who saved everything. Great performance going forward, good movement, etc

I was far more calm in this one than any I can remember since…Fulham maybe?
Today the color guy said some things about how impressive our control of the game was.
I think that’s instructive - an ostensible “neutral” was really praiseworthy of just how much we dominated the pitch, how little Everton could do.
Take the emotion out and you see nerveless, strangling control.
